Suicide Attack in Eastern Afghanistan wounded six civilians (WNA) March 1, 2009 – Nangarhar: A suicide attack on Jalalabad-Torkhum highway next to the Army crops headquarter entrance in the capital city of Jalalabad went today and caused injuries to six civilians, an official said.
A vehicle full of explosive strike the military convoy of Collation and Afghan National Armey, but didn’t cause any damage to them, said a provincial official to Wakht News Agency.
The provincial spokesman, Ahmad Zia Abdulzai told Wakht, that attacker exploded his vehicle at out-skirt of Jalalabad city in-front of the Army Cops headquarter located on that highway.
Further, he said except the attacker, no one dead at the incidence – However, he added three children and an old man was also among the civilian casualties.
Yet, no one has claimed for the responsibility of this attack, however, Taliban didn’t comment the incidence as well -- Mostly this type of attacks are lead and carried by Taliban extremists in the country.
