Nangarhar 09 March 2008 (Wakth News Agency): Thousands of students of Nangarhar University demonstrated Sunday in Daronta area of Nangarhar province , shouting angry slogans against Denmark and Netherlands for alleged insulting against Islam.
Demonstration started at 9 am and around 6000 students participated, the students also blocked Kabul Jalalabad high.
They denounced Denmark, where cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad were recently reprinted in several newspapers.
Demonstrators shouted "Death to Denmark and America "and "Death to Netherlands for insulting our religion."
The protestors warned for carrying possible suicide attacks to defend the dignity of Prophet Muhammad in case the situation remains similar.
In their slogans, demonstrators highlighted, that some spiteful elements want to increase tension between Muslim and western countries through this kind of nasty actions.
At the end, in the declaration demonstrators called on Afghan Government to break their diplomatic ties with Denmark and Dutch governments.
The protestors also urged Afghan government, that Dutch and Danish soldier to be expelled from the country and a ban to be imposed on imported products from these countries.
Last month, Denmark's leading newspapers reprinted a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad after Danish police said they had uncovered a plot to kill the artist, whose drawing was one of 12 cartoons that sparked deadly riots across the Muslim world in 2006.
Meanwhile such kinds of Demonstration were carried out in Kunnar, Paktika, Khost and eastern Herat province.
