Kabul- 04 March, 2008 (Wakth News Agency): 95 hundred thousands yield and unyielding trees will be planted over the country, said a senior official, from Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigations (MoAI), here at the cabinet meeting.

"2500000 plants are prepared at the nursery house of MoAI and 700000 other plants, are ready with the other counterpart organization", said Obiadullah Ramin, the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, at the cabinet meeting on Monday.

According to the minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, 1200000 of these bushes will be planted at the capital Kabul, and remaining at the provinces.  

Each year huge number of bushes gets planted by the ministry, but those greeneries are mostly damaged and stay under-develop due to less attention.

Despite this, forests of the country are under the threat and invasion. Influential war lords and smugglers constantly attempt to cut the wooden trees and smuggle it out of the country says the locals.
